Epps, Conway, formerly.) a resident of Columbia, and his son, Charles Epps, have been visiting for several days at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Gray. The attention of tobacco growers is called to the display advertisement of the Farmers Tobacco Warehouse in this issue. T. N. Fullerton and V. D. Johnson are running this warehouse. Mr. Fullerton is a tobacco man who is known to nearly everybody in this section of the State. COUNTY iS~BLESSEO WITH GENERAL RAIN Reviving Drooping Crops in Many Sections Renewing Farmer's Hopes riM. - Liie rams beginning the first of last week came in good time for most of the crops of the county. These showers were general over the whole territory of Horry County, so that there was no section of th<5 land which could claim to have been slight ed in the distribution of the blessing. That these rains were indeed a blessing sent at the right time to avoid disaster is known to every man who had seen the drooping plants in the fields of portions of the fanning belts. The section that was worse off than any other in this county was the stretch extending from near Burcol toward Little River thvowgh Dogwood Neck township. At many places in that section the tobaeco had dried up to the tops of the plants, while other crops had suffered almost as bad, the corn having fired up. The rains last week reached that community where there had been but little rain for a long time and they brought things out to an amazing degree, reviving the hopes of the farmers and placing a different look on the face of the counti-y for them..
