Paris.?The German peace treaty

A'hich has not yet been made public
jroviding that ratification by Germany
and three of the principal associates!
powers will biintf the treaty
into foice between the ratifying partic-,
enabling the immediate resumption

If was pointed ort-io connection
with the stipulation as to the ratification
cf the tier: tar treaty that
any nation whicl' w th! rid ratification
aficr three of the niineipal powers

advantage in a commercial way.
Tliis would follow from the fact that
the ratifying powers would be able
to resume trade relations with Germany
at once while the states that
delayed would have no such privilege.
It is quite probable that the Turkish
and Bulgarian peace treaties
will be negotiated and signed in Constantinople,
Saloniki or some other
convenient city in the near east, according
to Renter's Paris office.
To Settle Italian Issue.
Paris.?Negotiations pending for
the adjustment of the Adriatic controversy
contemplate a direct settlement
between Italy and Jugo-Slavta,
through American mediation. By
this plan the Austrian treaty would
