ABOUT DRUG STORES.
There was a sick man in Conway
last Sunday evening with a prescription
that he needed to have filled a*
c.uickly as possible. He spent much
time in trying to find a druggist to
iill the. prescription. Formerly, so
far as we could see, this was an easy
matter at any time :.n Conway. Since
the putting on of the lid regarding
the ordinance prohibiting sales on
Sunday, it has appeared hard to obtain
necessary things on Sunday, although
the law would apparently
exempt these from the penalty.
There should' bo at least one drug
store open in Conway throughout the
day on Sunday. In Kinston, N. C.,
we are told that one of the five drug
stores remains open all day on Sunday,
and they take it by turns; and
Jar. each drug store that is closed
there appears a notice directing
those who may need medicines to the
particular store that is open that
day.

WHERE IS THE SHEET? |
One circumstance connected with
the disappearance of the woman m
Socastee was causing some talk. It
is told that on one of the beds a
sheet had been taken off and a quilt
placed there instead, and this sheet
could not be found about the house. S
Another thing missing is the thick
fur coat which was rather heavy for
a woman of Mrs. Newton's size. She
is said to have worn this cloak away

CONWAY IS AHEAD. 1

A prominent man said the other *
day that Conway is ahead of other

mentioned some others who claim

aid that Conway had better pi'.bhe 1

the public when they came to town i:

This is the talk that Conway business

There seems to be a question as to
whether the woman was able to wani<

says that it was well known that she

her home without having* to stop and

kind of asthma ami that exertion
usually brought on an attack or provi

On the other hand a daughter of the

had appeared at times to get wrong

such times to wander about in the
woods if she happened to go there
and she tells of more than one occasion
