dors not understand the United War
Work plans and we have found it
impossiole to get them to take any
advertising space in its behalf. The
Herald furnished itself all that went
in.
It takes from two to four weeks
to recover entirely from the effects
of a case of the influenza. One may
think he is well for a day or two, j
and then he will find out that he is |
not. Better watch your health while
recovering from this disease.

Men in this county arc now filling
out their questionnaires in the class
of registrants from thirty-six to *
forty-five. While the peace ques- ]
Hon looms large on the European i
sky, Uncle Sam gees steadily on preparing
for what might happen in the
history of this world war.
The quart-a-month law was of
very little value in the 4,flu" epi
nrmic. About one hsilf of the doc- i
tors of the State believe that whis- (
Jcey is a good remedy in cases of
pneumonia. The law of this State
evidently intended to allow whiskey V
as a medicine, but the Legislature {
T took the most foolish way in the
world to provide for this. Many '\
people who would never think of
using whiskey as a beverage would
feel better if they could have a small
quantity on hand for just such emcr4
gency. Hut what sane man or woman
would try to obtain it by means

It was announced the first of this 1

>'clock instead of at 7 o'clock as boore;

This change in the time affects a
