The Local Exemption Board under orders from the War Department began on September 18th the mailing out of Questionnaires to all of the men who registered on September 12th, who are between the ages of 19 and .">(> inelusuive. They have been I mailing out ten per cent, of these every day since the 18th instant, so that tho w o?-l- ??r ? <m iiiiiiimu oui tno Questionnaires to this class will be finished on September 2Sth. Kvri y registrant has seven days within which to fill out and return his Qu 'stionnai. i to th? Local Board; but it is earnestly requested by the authorities that every man fill out his Questionnaire at once and return it to the Board as early as ho possibly can without waiting- for the seven days to . xpire. An effort has been made to authorize not only lawyers but all otln r persons who arc competent to ai<i these registered men in filling out the answers to those questions. So when you get your Questionnaire find out the near est man who is able to help you and fill it out at once and mail it back in the envelope that is provided. .Many men are amply able to fill out their own Quest' .muaire, and the Herald is thankful to he able to say this.
