means a lot of work and every one is
uijjed to do her part. Mrs. George
Officer, Vice Chairman, and Mrs. H.
Wi Ambrose, director of Woman's
Work, will be glad to receive any
assistance and to give information.
Some time ago there was about
$130100 raised to defray the expenses
of surgical dressing rlass Every >
one knows of the great need of these I
articles. Arrangements have bc? n:
made to have a teacher for the class
come and give the necessary instruction.
The class must consist of not
less than 15 and not more than 20
members. It will probably meet
three times a week, about three
hours each time for four weeks. After
the instruction has been received
the class will be subject to orders for
dressings which will have to be made.
There is no charge for the instruction
the only requirements being a white
apron, the pattern for which is at the
Red Cross work room, a white head
dress, a pencil, and a tablet. To be
able to do any thing that will
alleviate the suffering of our men at
the front should be a privilege. Let
us avail ourselves of this one. Apply
to Mrs. J. S. Dusenbury, director of
surgical dressing class.
