To the Democrat.", of Horry County: Under the rules of the Democratic Party of South Carolina, in each election year all'the Democratic Clubs throughout, the State shall, be called together on the fourth Saturday in April which is the 27th inst., for the purpose of electing officers and selecting delegates to the various County Conventions. Therefore each pre cinct onairman in iiorry Uounty is hereby given notice to call, hie club together at the usual place of meeting Saturday April 27th, 1018 for the purpose of electing a precinct Chairman and Secretary and also one delegate to the County Convention for every 25 members on the club roll, or a majority fraction thereof. Two years ago after receiving the splendid vote that the people gayme I said that if nothing unusual happened I would again be a candidate for Congress in 1918. But we are now engaged in the most terrild i war of history and we are on trial I before the world. In order to win this war we must present a united front and it is the duty of every true American to forget for the time being all thoughts of personal ambition and private gain.
