FARMERS WAREHOUSE GREATLY ENLARGED ' A The Farmers Tobacco Warehouse has made a large addition to its already .commodious floor space* the work having been commenced and about finished within the past several weeks. ' The warehouse will be' run again this season by the firm of Fullorton & Johnson, Mr. Fullerton having had a long experience in the tobacco ware house business in this and other suites. He was here in the interest, of his warehouse several days lately and \he stated that it is fully believed the ftobacco crop will bring good prices this year. He was hero from other markets where the business runs almost the year round; and ho says that the outlook for a good ( season's business for the growers is very good. Holliday ? GALIVANTS FERRY QUARANTINE OFF ' LASTSATURDAY The young- chihl of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Connelly died here last week of cerebro spinal meningitis. Mr. Con- ! nelly came here as a contractor and was engaged in sinking the deep well which is to supply Conway with artesian water. He and his wife and child wei* boarding at Mr. A. B. McCoy's when the baby was taken sick. As so?m as the disease was found, ... hi quarantine regulations were < , put into effect at the McCoy home. I It was thought that the germs of the disease were probably brought from the cantonments at Camp Jackson by Mr. B. B. McCaskill who had been working at the cantonments and came hove recently to accept a position with the Conway Light & Ice Co. Ho was also boarding at the McCoy home. Last week an expert came here from Columbia and took many cultures to discover if there were a carrier of the germs among any of those who had been exposed. His report was received by the health board at Conway and the quarantine was lifted last Saturday. Under orders from the Board of Health, when the case of the disea.-/* was first discovered, the schools were closed and gatherings of evei \ kind forbidden. It is fully believed that the danger is entirely over.
