Far the first time in the history of
Conway it is possible for us to have
an up-to-date sanitary town.
The town has just completed the
digging of a 10 inch flowing artesian
well, which will giye ys a daijy capacity
of about 150V000 gallons. An
ordinance has been recently passed
allowing all property owners t,o cminect
with the public sewers free of
charge of any tapping fee, and to
connect with the water mains a tapping
fee of $6,00 in advance will be
charged for each connection. All C- i
nections and tappings to be done n
accordance with said ordinance. \No
work to be done before a proper license
has been issued. Meters, curb
cocks, corporation cocks, etc, to be
furnished by the town at cost plus a
10 per cent commission. All material
and work to be approved by the engineer
inspector.
A campaign is on to have a general
"clean up," and the Civic League
which can always be depended upon
will do their part.
We apj? al to each and every property
owno;' and tenant to make
such clean up at once on his premises
which will bring about the desired
results, and thereby relieve the
Board of Health from the necessity
of issuing any special orders this year
