We here publish another instalment of the men registered
for military service on June 5th, 1917.
This issue, as you will see, begins with order number
131b and goes on upward to as many as we can get into the
space available.
Explanation: We began publishing the entire list ot
2387 registered men between the ages of 21 and .SO, in our
issue of August 2nd the first 4(?6 appearing in that issue.
Another instalment, next in order, appeared in our issue of
August 10th, and still another instalment, next in order, in
our issue of last week, August 23rd. The instalments will
appear every week now until the entire list of 2.S87 names
have appeared. Read this and do not confuse this list being
published serially with the other list of men examined and
certified in another column. Keep the issues in wi.'ch the
instalments appear and you will have a complete list of Horry
fighters. Remember the first 400 of the 2387 were called
and examined Aug. 13th, 14th and 15th. The remainder of
the list may not be called for examination before some time
in 1918, and if the war ends soon enough, never.
