Mrs. Colon Hardwick, the last
member of the Alford family of eight
united with Poplar M. E. church,
in early life, was converted and lived
a consistent Christian life. She married
when about' twenty-two years
old and gave birth to eleven children,
four of whom preceded her to the
eternal world. Five sons and two j
daughters mourn their loss.
She was unusually strong for one
of her age until late last Fall when j
