Singleton, a highly esteemed citi'/.en of Socastee, died at Irs home March 26, having bad a a ? - - - ougiu stroKe 01 paralysis a few days previous. He was nearly seventy years of age and a veteran of the Civil War. He served in Company E. 20th South Carolina Regiment. Another oid soldier has answered the roll call from above. He was married March 22, 1877 to Miss Elizabeth I , I King, who survives him. There is jalso a daughter, Mrs. W. E. Dusentbury of Toddville and a son, Sam G. i Singleton of Soeastee. The deceased was a member of Soeastee Methodist 'church, and "lived an exemplary life, loved by all whtt "knew him. Funeral sevvicse were conducted by tl.e pastor, Rev.
