COTTON BROKERS ON

will explain itself. , 1
1. trust yviu. c. u give the same a
place in \v\u- papev. and too, I think
too general public, should turn more *
of their attention to fuodstull'b foi
both man and beast, as all such is
soaring in price and there is nothing
y' in sight to indicate any change in
prices.
Yours very truly,
W. Percy Haidwkke.
Mr, Ws Percy Hardwickc,
Conway, S. C.
.With the view of giving our
friends in the country some ideas
of the stock of cotton left in thi"
country, we have carefully compiled
the following figures of cotton actually
on hand, in round figures:
Mill Stocks 2.^00,000
Interior To was 1,100,00
Stocks at Ports. . . . .1,300,000
Balance of Cicp 2,900,000
Total , .. 7,000,000
Estimated American
mills will use...^ ...3,500,000
Estimated Exports,. ..1,500,000
Total 5,000,000
Leaving stock on hand
Aug. 1st . .2,000,000
This leaves a balance of unsold
cotton, amounting to 2,000,000 on th'
first of August next. Whether right
or wrong, the impression prevails

the ground, a/nd it is estimated that
, the Government Report of the acre
age, to he issued next July, will
show the largest acreage on record.
We hardly think these figures
point to 20c cotton this summer, and
while we are hot Bearish on the situI
atlon, we suggest that our friends
think over those figures, as they
are about as correct and as moderate
as any tiling we have seen.
The cessation of the war, or "damaged
reports" for C'c next crop, are
the only things to our mind, that will
cause any advance in prices.

SERIOUS REVOLUTION
REPORTED IN RUSSIA
Stockholm.?Reports of serious
disturbances in Russia are published ,
in Swedish newspapers. The Tidhiangen
of Sundsvaal publishes a state
ment that a railroad bridge over the j
Neva river, in Petrograd, has been
dynamited by revolutionists.
The Nyheter of Haparanda prints
an interview with a Swedish business j
:v.an who arrived in Petrograd Sutu-* (
day from Moscow. This man is
filleted as saying there hud been open
revolution in many cities of Russia
since last Thursday. Especially vio- ,
lent riots are reported to have occur ,
ltd in Petrograd on Saturday, shops
being stormed by mobs. According
to this information, publication of ^
newspapers was suspended and the ,
authorities posted placards warning
the people to remain indoors to avoi i
(lunger. ,
The Nyheter says that other trav |
ilers from Petrograd report that |
similar disturbances occuried there
on Friday, that the soldiers were
compelled to use their sabres aiul (
that many persons were wounded.

YES! LIFT A CORN
OFF WITHOUT PAIN!
Cincinnati authority tells how
to dry up a corn or callus
so it lifts off with fingers.
Yotn corn-pestered men and wom^n
reed suffer 110 longer. Wear the
shoes that nearly killed you before,
says this Cincinnati authority, because
a few drops of 'freezone applied
directly on a tender, .itching .corn
or callus, stops soreness at once and
soon the corn or hardened callus
loosens so it can be lifted out, root|
and all, without pain.
A small bottle of freezone cost!
very !liil.tle at any drug store, but will j
positively take off every hard or soft
corn or callus. This should be tried,
as'it is inexpensive and ins said not to
irritate the surrounding :skin.
If your druggist hasn't any freezone
tbe'll him to get a small bottle for
you from his wholesale dlrug house.
It is fine stuff and acts like a charm.
