That the timber owned by Conway Lumber Company upon the swamp portion of Tract No. 4, down to December 81st, 1919, shall be excepted from the opreation of the said sale, and the rights of the said Company to the timber and rights of way in no wise impaired. Any right of reversion thereto, however, of which the said Duncan A. Buck spent several days last week in Columbia, attending the hearing on tjie Farm Loan proposition as applied to this section the country, and taking in the State Fair while in the capitol city. Notice is hereby given that Property Tax is now due to the Town of Conway and is payable at the Town Clerk and Treasurer's office at the Town Hall from October 15th, to December 31st, 1910. Julia Wilson entertained a few of her friends at a Hal low'eon party at her home, Hotel Grace, on Friday evening. Deecorations were red and white, girls wearing white dresses with red sashes. The reception hall was decorated with pumpkin Jack O'Lanterns. J ?*v . . Alisbrook, S. C., Oct. 25.?We write you in behalf of a lonely girl in this section. She is deserving of help and sympathy. Her misfortunes have followed one another in the last four years. About four years i go they began when death took her father, Mr. Jos. T. James. T.iis loft he i with a mother and one brother at home. They lived as happily as could oe' expected. About two years from the death, of the father, the mother was taken away. This left her w'.th the baby brother. They remai c<i on the little farm and toiled for an honest living, but of course it was lonely. She state! that the best comfort was sitting quietly after a day's work and reading the bible. Si ce last Fall she was converted and has been a great help in the church and (he Sunday School ever since. San to relate, on the night of Oct. 5th, the. brother died.
