Col. and Mrs. D. A. Spivey gave a
reception on last Friday evening from
8:30 to 11 o'clock at their beautiful

Street, complimentary to the teachers
attending the Summer School.

Cakes were served by Miss Aleer.o
Spivey and Miss Collins, after which
the crowd gathered upon the large

bent. The weather was ideal, an I
while Japanese lanterns of red swung j
in the tossing branches of the stately
elms, the moon, in all his splendor
peeped through the clowd-canopie i
heavens and smiled upon the faces of j
both lad and lassie, mingling his rays
3f silver light with those of artificai!
red, with the beautiful strains music
that floated lazily through the air,I
tnd with the . melodious voices of a
merry hundred; so while some play-1
?d games and some took strolls, and
Alters whispered that sweet, sweet
>tory that never grows old, the ever-j
ng moved swiftly along never to be
'orgot.
Mr. Spivcy engaged the Conway

JUDGE FOR YOURSELF
Which is Bettor?Try an Experiment
or Profit by Conway Citizen's
n.\prnfnce.
Something: new is an experiment.
Must be proved to tfc hs represented.
The statement of a manufacture is
not convincing proof of merit.
But the endorsement of friends is.
Now supposing you had a bad back,
A lame weak, or aching one,
Would you experiment on it ?
You will read of many so-called
cures.
Endorsed by strangers from faraway
places.
It's different when the endorsement
comes from home.
Easy to prove local testimony.
Read this Conway case:
