Senator Tillman had requested the (reprinting of a public document on th?- potash, supply. Senator Smith of South Carolina had asserted that at present the United States is dependent upon Germany for its potash. * "It will be but a few years until the cry for potash will cease" predicted Senator Smoot as he told of the development of potash deposits in Utah. o In Memory of C. S. Lee. The death angel passed over the home of brother Lee and took him ifcvay leaving a wife and eleven children and a great many friends to mourn the loss, while we believe he ^ has a better place than a world of sor BtR row. He joined the Baptist church a Bh good many years ago and lived a faith H ful Christian member at Good Hope V; church. The church will greatly miss his presence. He seemed to he conl jf cious of the fact that his departure srs at hand by paying he had nothing to fear, only leaving his family. ' His funeral was preached by Rev. J. W. Todd at Good Hope cemetery attended by* a large congregation. His remains were laid to rest to await the great resurrection when the grave shall give up its dead. The dead in Christ shall rise victorious over all ^nd the last enemy to gather intc the Realms of Endless Joy. A. N. Cox worked t it first and several weeks were without Succcssu. . This first trial was iade at the same spot where the ?Id /ell had failed to run.* Later Mr. Little purchased a gas- V line outfit and went to work with r hat. He had gone down more than t 00 feet it is said and had a flow but i ould not stop the work on account of s die sand which at that point was giv- s ng considerable trouble. C., and Miss Virginia Burbage of Conway i?nd Miss Henrietta Burbage. All of liio ten children were with him until the end. The funeral services were conducted on Sunday by the Rev. E. L. McCoy of the Conway Methodist church, the exercises beginning at the home and ending at the Lake side cemetery where the interment took place on Sunday -afternoon.
