He argued that women frequently carry a flask while travelling. He said that the .. electorate did not want such restrict> I tions nlncPfl ?n fhp nvnKiKifinn if s " --- I """v,u" *v TVV* ^ ed for. t Mr. LaGrone directed attention to ^ the Legislature to go to the extreme in legislation and pointed out that the| pendulum would swing back. He said that the bill was nonsensical because Of its inconsistencies. He said that liquor legislation is a sore and the more you scratch it the worse it will get. Mr. McMahan said that he favored the enforcement of prohibition but thought the bill should be so 'amended as to do away with apparent inconsistencies. The motion to recommit was lost on a yea and nay vote of 55 to 44.
