For the first time in years, our Hon. <
County Supervisor and Commissioner j
was seen on some of our public roads,
inspecting and measuring them, what i
a pity they hav'nt been more attentive ;
to their duty in the past, then maybe 1
our roads and drains wouldn't have 1
been inclosed in fields and our roads <
in ruins. Now I would like to know
who is going to -build these roads, is
the Supervisor and Commissioner going
to do it or have the poor honest
roads workers got it to do again ? I
am not writing this for any controversy,
but only to warn the voters of our ;
county when they cast their votes to '
always try and cast them for men that '
they thin* will run our county government
in a fair and just manner. With
best wishes to our County paper and

We are having heavy rains in this
section of Florida and the fall crops
are a failure. We have had two years
of crop failure here in succession.
The writer's cousin, Mr. D. M.
Rheuark of Tabor, N. C? was a pleasant
visitor a few days ago, but he left
for his home on the 15th. Mr. Rheuark
says that he can not give up dear
old Horry and Columbus counties. He
is employed on the farm of Mr. Tabor
Fowler of Tabor, N. C. He is well remembered
by the writer of twenty
years ago. I intend visiting my old
home in the near future, so I will close
by saying let the dear old Herald
come my way.
