two lone prisoners. One of them is
"Lizer" Davis, who is under a charge
of arson for burning the dwelling of
Mr. and Mrs. Martin in the early
I Spring. Her hpsband, Jim Davis, is
I serving a term for violation of the
dispensary law. The other prisoner
is Frank Jones, also colored. He is
under a warrant sworn out by his
wife charging him with adultery.

Marlboro Court House Last
Saturday.
On last Saturday, July 2lib, 191T
at about I? o'clock 1\ M., there war a
happy marriage at Marlboro court
| house, the contracting parties being
Miss tiossie (lore and Mr. O. lb Cannon.
both now of McColl. The young
couple and a few friends travelled by
automobile from McColl to Uennettsville
where they were married at the
Court House. The ceremony was performed
by the Marlboro County Probate
Judge. The party was gone from
McColl only a short while and returned
to the home of the bridegroom
where many friends met them ami
extended their best wishes,.
Miss Kessie is the oldest daughtei

; Cannon is a son of Samuel J. Camion
j The bride and groom and also theii
' parents came from Horry County am
made their home in McColl some time
ago. Mr. George Cannon, Miss Jane
Cannon, and Mr. Louis Hritt, the
| chaffour on the car, were the only
friends who accompanied them to Hen
nettsville and hack. The writer joins
many other friends in wishing them
a long and happy life of which we are
sure they are worthy.

After the ceremony the bride and
? room went to Myrtle Beach where
they spent Saturday night. Returning
to Conway on Sunday, they spent
Sunday night at the handsome bungalow
just completed by Mr. Cushman
on his building lot in the most prominent
residence section of Conway. On
last Monday Mr. and Mrs. Cushman
left Conway to be gone for some time,
it is supposed on an extended wedding

Mrs. Cushman will reside in CJroenville.
