Ehrich of Georgetown, manager of the Georgetown Grocery Co., spent last Thursday in Conway calling on the merchants. Collins was recently taken very ill with pneumonia. His friends were glad to hear that he was rapidly improving the latter part of last week Hon. Jeremiah Mishoe, member of the County Pension Board, was laid up at his home recently with a case of Small Pox. His home is near Cool Springs. J. B. Hughes was among the farmers of the county visiting Conway last Thursday. He was acoompanicc bv one of his sons. Seth L. Smith a well-known stock dealer of Vineland, N. C., was in Conway a few hours on business las Thursday. You will miss some good reading you neglect to read Parrott & Co.. which will begin to run in this paper next week. John A. Sessions and family havr recently moved into the cottage recently vacated by Mr. and Mrs. A. B McCoy, situate on Laurel Stieet, ncx. door to B. T? Hyman's residence. Lawrence, one of the experienced tobacco men who has run ware houses in Horry for the past several years, left here last Thursday for ha home after spending several days here on business, Miss Dahlia Baggarly, stenographer in the law offices of H. H. Woodward, Esqr., returned last Friday, after spending several weeks with friends and relatives at Harmony, N. C. W. H. Cook, a former Horryite,but who is now travelling for a reliable house, visited Conway for a short time last week. He is successful in his present work. An inventory of the stock of goods of Conway Mercantile Co., was taken by H. W. Lewis and J. G. Woodward last Friday. The amount was between one thousand and one thousand live hundred dollars. Mrs. C. J. Epps was called to Char- h leston last week by the sudden death I of her sister, Mrs. M. Hornik. Mrs. Hornik had been ill for some time but B her death was not expected by her I relatives and friends. I J. R. Thompson cf Bucksville, S. C. gl was among those visiting Conway on business the first of this week. He is the owner of "Central View Farm,'' one of the finest places in this section of the State. H. N. Sessions went to Cool Springlast Friday where he sold the saw mill and other machinery which was taken in tne case of U. W. Fhipps vs. W. H. H Alford and J. H. Alford. Mr. Sessions acted as the agent of the holders of the mortgages against the plant. The last section of the largo Ft eel tank, being erected under a joint < ontract between the Conway Lumber Co. and the Town of Conway, was inverted in place last week and then the work of putting on the cover was com M menced.
