The Third Quarterly Conference of j the Conway Methodist Church for this current year met last Friday night, | August 28th. Rev. It. Herbert Jones, \ presiding elder in the chair. Mr. R. W. Lane was elected secretary. The 1 reports showed the Church interests ^ to be in good shape for this time of the year, though there is much to be ^ done before the Church year closes 0 November 25th. Special note was made of the death 1 of Dr. E. Norton, who had for so ^ many years been a pillar of this ^ Church. Resolutions concerning his 1 life and work were adopted and will be found elsewhere in this issue. Mr. Ii. W. Ambrose was elected Chairman of the Board of Stewards. 1 Mr. A. E. Goldfinch was elected Sunday School Superintendent. Mr. W. ' L. 'Bryan and Mr. J. L. Dozier were elected .stewards. Dr. C. J. Epps was elected .a trustee. There was a large attendance of the officials of the Methodist Cliurch. A ) . fine spirit of harmony and cooperation | prevailed. The steady growth and success of the Conway Methodist Church is a source of great satisfac tion to its membership.
