Or.o thing which seems to be agiia ting the public mind to-day is the Primary System of nominating candidates for ollice. It is alleged that there has been fraud in the primary elections. Of course the defeated Earty always cries fraud. I for our ave been in favor of fair play. 1 think my past record will prove it. While we arc placing restrictions round our primary system, we should be careful. 1 never want to s.e the time when a white citizen born and reared in South Carolina shall be disfranchised, whether he stands for Blease or for Smith, or for some othr??* f. .1 Inw There appears to be much opposition to the recent change in our road law. It has come to my ears that recently while discussing the change in this law, a critic stated that while I was a member of the House, that I and my colleague put men on the road up to GO years of age. If this critic will examine the acts of 1892 page 290, he wil find his statement is false in every particular. As I have retired from politics 1 do not boast of my record. I only want the record kept straight. There is a general scarcity of tobacco plants through the county. Polly Long, an aged lady died at her home near here recently. There is general complaint of a bad stand of cotton, tobacco and corn. The political pot is simmering a little we think. It is time the candidates should let us hear from them. Jeremiah Mishoe. A news item in this paper last week inadvertently stated that the court of General Sessions would convene here on May 18th, which was a typographical error, and shou'e have read, Monday May 25th. Froir other items appearing in the paper however, and the head lines of the article in question, it appeared to be a mistake and it is hoped that for that reason the mistake was understooe by our readers and no inconvenience was caused thereby. MAKES BACKACHE | aUICKLY DISAPPEAR , 1 w* ^ ? - t\ rew JJoses Relieves All Such Miseries. Bladder Weakness, Kidney Trouble and Rheumatism Promptly Vanish It is no longer necessary for any ne to suffer with backaching, kidney trouble, have disagreeable bladder and urinary disorders to contend i with, or be tortured with rheuma, tism, stiff joints, and its heartwrenching pains, for the new discovery, Croxone, quickly and surely relieves all such troubles. | Croxohe is the most wonderful remedy yet devised for ridding the system of uric acid and driving out all the poisonous impurities which cause such troubles. It is entirely different from all other remedies. It is not like anything else ever used for the purpose. It acts on the principle of cleaning out the poisons and removing the cause. It soaks right in through the walls, membranes and linings, like water in a sponge, neutralizes, dissolves, and makes the kidneys sift out and filter away, all the uric acid and poisons from the blood, and leaves the kidneys and urinary organs clean, strong, healthy and well. It matters not how long you have suffered, how old you are, or what you have used, the very principle of Croxone is such, that it is practically impossible to take it into the human system without results. There is nothing else on earth like it. It starts to work the minute you take it and relieves you the first time you use it. If you suffer with pains in your back and sides, or have any signs of kidney, bladder troubles, or rheumatism, such as puffy swellings under the eyes or in the feet and ankles, if you are nervous, tired, and run down, or bothered with urinary disorders, Croxone will auickly relieve you of your misery. You can secure an oricr inal package of Croxone at trifling cost from any first-class druggist. All druggists are authorized to personally return the purchase price if it fails in a single casgt ~ Notice of Discharge.
