She was the laughtGr Of Mr. Sion West and Mrs. Ann West; She joined the Socastae Methodist Church when she was converted in childhood, and she remain\ faithful member there until her leath. In January 1865 she was, juppuy marneo to Kro. George Italvey of the same community, tad he still survives to mourn his iear wife's departure. Six childreu w?.re born to them of whom five are iving; Mrs. Marietta Hacks of Foriey, S C., Mrs. Rosabella Ciardy of ifcalvey, S. C.; Mrs. Eliz > Jane Miler of SavaDnaby Ga., Mrs. Lillian 3avis Lewis of Conway, S C., and drs. George Frederick Stalvey of liake Citv, S. 0. On March 11th, 914 at the home of her son-in-law, 4r. J. Ben Bucks at Forney, S. C., he quietly passed from eatth to leaven. The funeral was conductd by her pastor, Rev. E. F. Scog;ins, in the Socastee Methodist Church, and the loved form was *id to rest in the adjoining ceme ery. Writteu by her loving granddaughter, Ola Johnson. OBITUARY. On April 6^h, the death angel visited the home of Mr J B. Singh tin, a well known farmer and merchant of near Conway, S. C., and took away bi9 mother, after a short ill. ness of four weeks. She was a member of the Baptist Church of Conway for several years and leaves a good record behind her in the Christian work for her God. She was eighty four years old and leaves one son, and, one daughter and one grand child, and a host of friends and relatives to mourn the loss. Benton, who have been visiting relatiyes ana friends near Iredell, N. C., returned home last Monday. Mr D. C. Prince, Miss Sallie Warren, Mr Mack Anderson, Miss Dulma Prince, Mr Cape Graham, Miss Beulah Prince, all attended preaching at Pleasant Meadow last Sunday. Miss Lola Milligau of Longs, S.
