Ill An Oil Mill to be Supplied by the Farmers INTERESTING LETTER Written for I his Taper hy One who Would Like to See One Started, i How the Farmers Could he Brought to Have an Interest in it, ?Conway Needs it. Lditor Herald: The writer has been thinking <>! tho opportunities of Conway which can so easily bo worked t j ths mutual advantago of its welfare as well as those of tne Country. Conway and llorry County need an Oil Mill. The amount of capital , stock should be sufficient to put up a lirst class mill and sutlicient funds, to buy its raw material, and have as oue of its by-products a fertilizer plai t to work up its waste. Now as its the way to g?.t this mil built. Let sufficient capital do sub -cribed bv parties who wish to set toe town forge ahead and have its interott at heart. They can furnish* the ready cash to build and equip the mill. Now ht Mr. Farmer step in and take some of your stock, and place the shares at $'25.00. Some can pay [ cash and others can t. Now how how will lie bo able t o buy this stock? ICasy enough, for he has the cotton seed just what the mill will neeo. He can take and pay for one to ten shares easily. He will have an In. lerest, not only the welfare of the mill but later he will want guano, and knowing he has an interest on this, he at once turns to it, not only his good will but with his cash and t.thor securities to buy his needs in ! fertilizer line. 4 Now who is willing to push thik movement forward? Cau't some ( live and spirited citizen of Conway push it along to a success. j If thoy will start now ana push the matter by another season Con- ^ way would have a first class oil mill. The tough pull the tobacco ware- ( houses had is a thing of the past. Your town awoke and it now has a \ market second t) none in the State and the mill would fare much better in the start as all of its material can be had and bought at home and noth J ing shipped away except the oil, linters, and the hulls. It would find a \ ready sale for all the meal at home. Conway can't look always to the 1 1~ ' ! - - * * ^ ixjuis iur us iraue, oilier industries will sooner or later have to .? be started and the sooner the bettor. This section would be benefitted very much if we had transportation J with Conway. 1 notice the prices j on flour, corn, meal and many other things are quoted and being sold ^ cheap as can be bought in Wilmington, several things cheaper, why < iend our money away to another State when we can do as well at j home?
