OBITUARY.
On Friday Aug. 22, tae death angels
visited the home of Mr. G. J.
Waits and look away his wife, Sarah
Elizabeth. Sho was one of the line
children of the late Ellas Nixon and
was born Fob. 24th, 1855, and died
Aug. 22, 1D13, at the ago of 58 years,
5 months and 28 days. Sho leaves
a husband, 7 children, one sister,
one brother, and 11 grand children
to mourn the loss, but we hope our
loss is her eternal gain. All of her
children were preset t at the time of
her death, from the oldest to the
youngest. They are Mrs J. b Lee,
Myrtle Beach, S. C., Mr J. C. Watts,
Conway, S. 0., Mr Oscar Watts,
and Mrs J. K. Woodall, Washington,
N. C., Mrs A. Li Anderson, Pair
Bluff, N, C , Mrs N. T. Collins, Con- (
way, Mr Eyerette Watts, Conway.
Sho joined Salem Mcthodut Church
at an early age and lived a consistent
member until her death. She was a
faithful Sunday School worker, having
been teacher in Salem Sunday
School for many years.
The interment took place at 10
o'clock Saturday morning at Salem
Methodist Church in the preseuce or
a large concourse of friends and
relatives. Her pastor, the Ii:*v J.
E. Cook, conducted the burial services.
