Useless Firing of Pistols
Editor Herald:
1 want to commend, most heartily,
your editorial some weeks ago on
the promiscuously firing* of pistols
in town. 1 have been around a right
, good deal, but in all of my travels 1
have not been in any place that I
felt more at homo than in Conway.
But Mr. Editor, the careless and
recklessly shooting of pistols you
! mentioned and such swearing as 1
have heard on your streets will militate
against the continued poaco of
. our good community. Cursing on
, die streets and shooting in town,
l unless in case of necessity, have
been held in chock by town ordinances
where 1 have been. I hope our
- Cir.y Fathers will do likewise and
J give us peace. Let every one except
the Sheriff and Chief of Police throw
f their pistols away and everybody
