Bad management is the cause of p
nine tenths of the failures in the r<
business enterprises of today %\
Many a time a man having one or b
two to three or five thousand dol- f<
lars places this into the necessary n
equipment and appliances for con- tl
ducting a business. For a time h
everything is apparently going well, a)
and his friends proohnsv t/fAO i I

things for the future of the enter- m
prise. Aiu ! .here are mistakes in
management, little but important ic
mistakes are made by the owner
behind the scenes as it were so that m
these his friends cannot see. Before lu
long the owner's bills are found to w
be going unpaid. He seems to get
careless and he is not at his business It
as constantly as before. In the cc
course ?">f a few months the business se
fails. Many times this is caused by st
the bad management of the proprietor.
He weut into the business and sf
failed to study it as he should. In- pi
stead of taking hold of each of hi * ec
problems it a business way and eet- in
tling them in accordance with good d<
judgment and approved practice,
he let them go at haphazard. One

In nearly every newspaper publish
;d In this country, as well as most
>f the magazines, there are articles
advising the lulling of tho house
lies, and giving remedies to extermi
aate them. We havo Iried to add
>ur little mite to this campaign of
aettor health and pleasure for our
people. There is nothing more filthy
n the world than a nasty house fly.
That he carries a number of diseases
an his back and on feet has been
jufficiently proved. The Herald is
jlad to note that nearly everv dwellng
in Conway, of any consequence, i
aas put up screens, and we have no
ioubt but that tho occupants are
cilling every day the few flies thai nanago
to get in through the wires.
Nothing better can be done by any)ody
in the interest of good health.
>9wera and water works may be of
jreat benefit in towns where they
ire able to have such things, and
hese ought to bo furnished for Convay,
but there is a way to live j
lecently and preserve the health of ,
he family without them. With a 5
ery little work the premises of h
ivery dweller can be kept clean, the 1
lies and the mosquitoes can be kept
tut, and the usual precaution can
>p taken in case of contagious disasesgoing
about the neighborhood,
ust because the town will not put
n waterworks and sewers, is no
oason why tho town should not be
ne of the healthiest ones in the
itate. It depends more on the
ndividua! family than on anything
lse. With tho vast amount of litrature
now being published on
hese subj' cts, there is no excuse for
{norance.

Congressman Ragsdale, the young

The doctor was called in, and histreatlent

had gotten so weak I could not stand,

At last, my husband got me a bottle of

taking it. Rrom the verv fire*

If you are all run down from womanly q,
