The Woman's Christian Temper
ance Union wishes to express its
appreciation to you as editor of the
Herald of the temperance attitude
of the paper. The fact that it car
ries no whiskey advortisemouts has
been reported by the union in the
State meetings for several years
with pride. .

Died.
G. W Hemingway died on May
2Glh, 1913. He suffered for eight
days from a oase of typhoid-pneumonia.
He was a well known colored
citizen of his section of the
county, and the community seemed
shocked at his untimely death, as ha
was liked generally by both white
and colored people. He died a
Christian as shown by his last
words. He is survived by his wife
and live sons and two daughters.
The remains were interred at the
St. Peter cemetery. He was in his
G2nd year.
