Horry Ranching Company J
The Greatest Proposition on Earth.
T." v..- v. m'V' -./
^." ,.v - *V "
Dear Sir.
Knowing that yon have some interest in the far bnsinesp. I take
, the liberty of presenting yon with what seems to be a most wonderful
business proposition, and whioh. no doubt, you will take a lively interest
in and perhaps wire us the amount of stock that you wish to subscribe
towards the formation of this company.
CTJi
The object of this company is to operate a large cat ranch in or near
Toddville, S 0,. where land can be purchased for this purpose.
To start with, we collect about, say, one hundred thousand (100.000
cats. Each cat will average twelve [12] Kittens per year. The skins
run from ten [10] cents each for the white ones to seventy-five [75] cents
for the pure black. This will give us twelve million (12,000,000) skins
for a year to sell on an average of thirty (30) cents a piece, making our
revenue about t n thousand dollars (10.000) per day gross.
A man can skin fifty cats per day for two dollars($2.00). It will take
about 100 men to operate the ranch and therefore the net profit will thus
be about nine thousand eight hundred dollars ($9,800.00) per day.
We will feed the cats on rats and will start a rat ranch next door.
The rats will multiply four time as fast as the cats, therefore if we start
with one million rats, we will have four rats a day for each cat, which Is
plenty.
Now^then wo will feed the rats on carcasses of the cats from which
the skins have been taken, giving each rat a fourth of a cat.
It will thus be seen that the business will be self sustaining and automatic
all the way through. The cats will eat the rats and the rats will eat
the c*ts and we will get the skins.
Awaiting your prompt reply, and trusting that you will appreciate the
opportunity that we give you and that you will grasp same and get rich
quick, we remain,
Xours Very Truly,
HORRY RANCHING COMPANY.
W, C. Jones, President,
ll. J\ Snodgrass, Vice-President.
Willie DooLittle, Secretary.
P. S.?If you don't want stock in the ranch, come to Toddviile anyway
and buy your Fertilizers, family and farm supplies from Dusenbury & Co,
where you will find a complete stock of General Merchandise, and everything
sold at live, and let-live prices. Give them a trial and be convinced.

Obituary
On the 26bh day of Oct. 1912, the
death angel visited our home and
took from us our loying father, W,
P. Rabon. He wai born July 4th,

supper when befell out of his chair
and was gone without a struggle.
Ob, how bird it was to give him up,
but the Loid knew best. May the
Lord in his mercy help us that we
may look on the bright side of this
dark cloud that overshadowed us
that night, when we lost our good
father, as he was such a good kind
father and good true husband, a
hard working honest man, a good
neighbor and he was always willing
to lend a helping hand to any one.
We believe that our loss is his eternal
gain. His funeral ^as preached
by the Rev H. B Roberts. After
which he was laid to rest in the Sa
lom Cemetery in the presence of a
large crowd of sosrowing relatives
and friends. He had been a member
of the Salem Baptist Church for
over 25 years and was a faithful
member until his death.
His Loving Friend,
Vick Rabun.
Card of Thanks.
I take this method of thanking my
many friends for their kindness to
me during the sickness and death of

Lord's richest blessings rest "upon
every one of them.

The Methodist Sunday School.

who has been appointed by Dr.
Norton as Primary Superintendent.
Special chairs for the little folks
have baen ordered. A number of
song bock* specially for children
will be amply supplied. The Epworth
Leagui has a piano in the
badding which will be used by the
primary department. Thus the
children can have their own special
music and equipment. The children
will first assemble in the Church
with all the school and then march
ovor to Epworth Hall.
Another feature iu the Sunday
School is a whistling choir of boys,
Cast Sunday 24 boys werte in this
, choir. They greatly enjoy whistling
the tunes while the rest sing. Boys
are not much for singing, but they
can all whistle.
