Some progress has been made in
the establishment of the drainage
district in Socastee township, an order
having been filed by the Clerk
of the Court in this matter last Saturday.
Nearly all of the defendants
in the case have been served, and
those who have not had a copy of
the summons, will receive copies of
the further proceedings and will be
brought in. It is hoped that the
district will be a success and thus
make an example to be followed by
other sections of the county.
