Too occasion of the Fourth Quarterly Conference of the Conway Moth hod ist Church took place, at 103 Kingston Hotel on last Friday night, with a supper given to the trustees and stewards of the church. On October 31st, 1912, the death angel visited the home of Mr and Mrs W H Vaught and took from thorn their littie niece, Ama Vaught' EiUes. She was three years and two months old. She was sick only eight days with that dreadful disease, diptheria. On, how hard we worked and pray v ed for her precious little life to be spared, but all that loving hearts, willing bunds n,nd the good physician could do could not save her. The good Lord knew best and took hor iQ live with Him. Little A ma was a bright' child and was loved by all who know her. She leaves a father, one brother, 1 wo sisters and a host of relatives to mourn their loss. The Club held a lunoh sale in Conway Nov. 8, for the purpose of raising funds to offer prizes to the women of Horry County. The lunch sale was well patronized by both t he to wn and country people thereby making it possible. As the primary object of the club is home ' improve ment the following prizes were so lected: Best light bread, bread mixer worth $2. Best biscuits, handsome china bread plate. Best butter, butter bowl, paddle and mould. Best pound cake, hand painted china plate. Best layer cake, set of aluminum cake tins. Best pie-roiiing pin, moulding board, with Macy's Magic Covers.
