% I | Second Section f u j VOL XXVI. man ^ [(ID (MDffi i iim uunumuu j i Endorsed by County Con- 1 vention ! ft ? | UMIM0D3LY PASSED j Prominent Citizen of Florence Endorsed for Congress in Resolution Introduced by Senator .1 VV McCown? In i Speech Mr Ragsdalc Says He is in the Race to Stay Ontil Finish. Floroce County will enter a candidate for Congress for the sixth district in the person of the Hon. J VV KaRHitale, who ran a few years a^o. The County Convention on Monday unanimously endorsed Mr Ra^sdaleand in a speech before the convention he stated that he was ^roin# to run and would be in until the finish. The friends of Mr Ragsdale have bi.cn trying to #et him to cuter the race for several weeks, but op account of his numerous business enterprises had not fully decided to outer the race. In fact Mr Ra#sdale has not made any formal newspaper an nouueoment, but he has told his friends all over ttio district that ho wouid bo a candidate, lhe entering the congressional race by Mr JR^gsdale will be of interest now to my friends in every section of the J Pee Doe and its certain the race for ^ this very important c-llice this summer will bo an interesting one. Progressive in every way, if the people of the Sixth District should elect Mr Ragsdale, the State would not f have a better representative in the 1 National House, and he would always be on the job for the Stale and his district. Pur the past ten years Mr Ragsdale has lived in Florence, ( during that time he has been a leader 1 in every movement for the development of his city and the whole Eas- ( tern section of South Carolina. As a professional man he has been one ' of too leading members of the Florence Bar, and is at this time President of two of the most progressive 1 banks in the city. The people of the'Sixth District ( will not make any mistake if they elect Mr Ragsdale to Congress? Florence Times. ? 4 4 A LIVER MEDICINE THAT BEATS CALOM jRL.
