out for Congress for tins district at
the recent county convention ana
received the fluttering endorsement
of his home people, tie has received
a-suruncrs of support from many
othor quarters of the district, and
from some where lie hud not expected
to receive very cordial backing.
Lie has been very much gratified
' by the assurance he has received and
feels sure that he will be able to
meet successfully the forces that he
has so nearly overcome on the previous
occasions
The good worx that Mr Ragsdafe,
did iu the convention in Columbia
in reorganizing and ieading the
sentiment for an endorsement of
Woodrow Wiisun after they had
been practically routed, has been
. com mealed upon by more than one
of the men in the convention who
were leaders of thougnt and action,
fvlr. Rjgsdale's tact and ^ability to
bring order out of chaos and take
the lead in a crisis impressed the
convention most favorably, and that
n same quickness of perception and aor'
tiou was what has made him so ef!
foctive in his work in the legislative
balis in the past.
There will bo a hard campaign

thing that is worth having, is worth
