place at the borne of Mrs S M LanQ
in Galivants Ferry township, on
March 27, 1912.
Miss Viola Lane was married to
Mr Luther Lee, of Latta, SC. Both
of these young people are very pop
ular in their respective communities
aud we feel assured that the
I' couple will add greatly to the social
I circles of Latta, the new home of
I the lovely young bride. A ho9t of <
I good wishes follow them adown the
1 journey of life to the far distant
sunset's lengthening shadows. 1
This community is much enthused
over getting the Industrial schco! in
our vicinity. There are many com

In Loving Memory.
On the 8th of April, 1912, the j
death angel came to the bedside of
our dear father, and bore bis immortal
spirit to the far away home of
the soul, eternal fin the heavens. It i
was hard to give the dear one into
the hands of unfeeling death, but
it was not so hard as if wo had not
the assurance that he had been
adopted in the household of God
through faith in the everlasting
promises of Jesus.
His earthly remains were laid
to rest inlho old burying grc u id near
Loris. He was funerali/.ed by Rev
F G Stanley to a host of sorrowing
relatives, friends and acquaintances.
He bore his intense suffering
with that patience and fortitude
which marks a child of Gcd He
was a member of the Pleasant Veiw
Baptist church, but the name of A
C Gerrald, which was called so often
in the church, will remain unanswered
in the Church Militantbut
