Who Is Interested?
Were wo to voice the sentiments of
Horry, I think wo will find that all
of ber people are deeply interested
in the welfare of her roads, and just
why the condition of the Sandy
BlufT bridge remains as it is, we
can't see. I think it a shanio on the
county that this place is so unnoticed
by the Supervisor. It seems
ithafc he is doing nothing for the
people of Galivants and Floyd who
put forth their bcstellorts to place
him in the position he now holds.
It seems that there is somewhere a
spark of prejudice toward the people
of Mullius and the sf>ark that
was once small and unrecognizable
has grown till the reads leading to
Mullins have passed out of existence
in the minds of those who have in
charge the welfare of the public
roads in Horry.
Now Gentlomen there is a remedy
for this, the conditions must not
remain thusiy. Something must be
done.

In Loving Memory.
The death angel visited our home
on March 13th, 1312, and took from
us our loving father. He was born
April 7, 1811. He .pined the Meth-.
delist church in eariy life and remained
a consistent member until
his death. He was in his usual
health up to within a few moments
of his death and the end of his long
and useful life was sudden and unexpected.
He leaves a wife and
twelve childreu?seven sons and
five daughters?and thirty-two grand
children to mourn his death, but
they mourn not as those who have
no hope, for they know their loss is
his eternal gain. It was hard to
give father up, but the will of God
must be done. He was a kind fitber
, and loving husband and a kind
friend to everybody. The funeral
services were conducted at the home
on March the 15th. by his pastor,

a preacher of note in the North
Carolina chargo where he has made
his home for the past number of
years, and he has large congrega
tions at his regular appointments
at the Baker Chapel. He is a very
ear nest .worker in the cause of the
