Chester, March 7th 1912.?Tuesday evening at 7 o'clock a beautiful wedding was solemnized, at the home of Capt. and Mrs. Emmett Little, when their daughter Mies Nora, became the wife of Mr. Robert Skipper. * The hall was beautiful in its artistic decoration, a mass of palms and holly were banked high and the whole scene was beautiful with many brilliant lights. Precisely at the hour mentioned, and to the strains of Lohengrin's Wedding March the bride entered in a beautiful gown of white satin with her maid of honor Miss Ida Uheuark, adorned in a )ov- J able gown of white lingcreo. The | groom entered with his best man Mr. Arni Jones, and joined tho attractive bride. The impressive ceremony was performed by the bride's pastor, Rev. J. T. Swearingen, in the presence of a large gathering of friends and relatives, including many from Fernandina. And as Tannrhanser's Wedding March was sounded the bridal party loft the room in the reverse order in which they entered. After the ceremony was performed all wore invited to the dining hall where there was a variety of good things to satisfy t.he i inner man for all present, and pie 11ty to spare, when the last one hud \mrO/a ann?r?innnv Rnnare and round i UUT,V uu...v..y..v-j. ? j dancing was then engaged in for a few hours. Come again some of you South Carolina boys and girls, with best wishes to Herald and its many readers. M. I. R. Yulee, Fla. De Watson's Lecture. Dr. E. O. Watson's lecture in Ep worth Hall last Thursday night was p reatly enjoyed by the crowd who attended. His subject was ''Grail Legends aud their Significance in Life To-day." He first traced the legendary history of the holy grail or cup. a mystic cup which is said to have figured in the history of the Queen of Sheba, in in the iife of our Saviour having been used at the Last Supper, and nanded down from generation throughout the middle ages.' Tradition says that only those who are absolutely pure hi heart and l:fe could possess the holy cup or grail. From this the great, poets, espeoial. ly Tennyson and Lowell, have de veloped the story iuto one of rich spiritual significance. This is particularly characteristic of the King . Arthur stories in the Idylls of the i King. As Dr. Watson led on the unfold . ing of Cbr's'L racier from these anclei. v - ui"u-> ov our modem poets it steuird quite like a serin or:. r Certainly it was a treat to hear a lecture so rfcn in literary beauty and , spiritual truth. By way of preface Br. Watsor . commended the Public Library as an institution that meant much tr Conway. The proceeds of the lecture went to the Public Library after all expenses were paid. The Library is being well patronized bj the people of our com munity. c A Delightful Entertainment.
