Those who intend entering the p iz* contest of the Horry County 0 Girl's Rural Home Making Club, will please be sure to send in your applications for prizes by the 1st of j October, 1911, and state which prize or prizes you are competing f for. Yesterday and today 1 received ten applications, two of these are for the medal in the composition work. Tnonamesof applicants will not be published, as we hope to fill both papers. Both Mr Woodward and Mr Sherwood could not spare the room, but the number of applicants will be published occasionally. Each girl should try for several prizes. The Spring Branch girls v ill have a chance in basketry. Your teachers (M'.sses Morgan and Madden) will soon b3 with vou, I guess. I met them at Winthrop this summer and they promised a good exhibit from Spring Branch. Miss Madden will introduce basketry, and both will assist you in many ways. Help, show and encouarge all girU not taking the county papers or know of the contest.
