The case of C E Ward, plaintiff vs W E Bcjssent, Administrator of j Peter Cox, dec'd, which originated | in the court of Magistrate A A Moseley, at Little River, and grew out of a dispute as to the ownership of some cat lie, is still undisposed of, it seems, although two different juries have passed on the case adversely to the claims of the plaintiff C E Ward. The case was first tried before Mr Moseley resulting in a verdict in favor of the administrator. Not satisfied with this, Mr Ward took out claim and delivery before Magistrate A P Thompson, at Wumpee, and at the hearing the ease was agaiu decided againat Mr Ward oy the jury. Now it is reported that C E Ward has sworn out a warrant against each member of ibe jury which rendered a verdict against hiin before Magistrate Thompson, charging them with contempt of court, or soinetning of thi& kiuu, alleging that after the case had been committed to them for the rendition of their verdict they called in Mr li C Gore, another Magistrate, wqo happened to be on the grouted, and asked him questions concerning the form of their verdict which at the time appears to have been already writteu up, They had fouLd a peculiar verdict, and it is stated that they only wanted to ask the other Magistrate as to the ?-.??fnrm 'I hw p.hka has been pi UjiUi JV/l ? ?
