The water closets on the business
block bounded by Third aud Fourth
avenues and Main and Laurel streets !
have been condemned as a meiuc
to health by the board of health of i
Conway, and a resolution authorizing
their removal is being considered
by our City Fathers and will
probably be acted on way or auother
at the meeting of Council Tuesday
evening. The proposition is to connect
these closets by means of sewere
with a main sower which commences
at or near the Baptist
church and extends along Laurel
street and empties into the river.
Died
Near Adrian, on July the 5 b,
1911, Mrs Louisa E., wife of N J
Booth. Sister Booth joined the
Missionary Baptist church about the
date 1808, and later accepted Christ
as her Saviour. She lived the life
she professed, She was nearing her
01st year and a long time she lived
for others, for in her nature she was
kind and sympathetic. She loved
(3k>d, her family and neighoors and
vtfate ever ready to make sacrifices for
others, but the tongue that so often

sorrowing is silent, the ministering
hands are folded upon her breast,
the kind heart has ceased to beat.
VVe mourn for her departure but not
as those without hope for she left a
bright testimony that all was well,
arvd a short while before her death
she seemed tj realize that she was
iri the presence of a sainted mother
atid sister and often spoke of them
as if present with them.
This union was blessed with? tons
and one daughter all of whom survive
her. May God, who tempers
the wind to the thown lamb, remember
them in this sad bereavement
in the loss of mother, and may they
strive to follow her example and
meet her in heaven.
