The Rev David Hucks.
Rev David Hucks, the Methodist
pastor at Pinewood, in Clarendon
county of this state, died Wednesday
morning of last week_after an
illness of seven weeks. The body
was brought to Conway that night,
and next morning was carried down
the river on the Lillian L to Socas
tee where the funeral was conducte
at 10 o'clock iu the Methodisbohu ch
The funeral service was in change
of Rev VV M liarden, pastor of the
VVaccamaw Circuit. .He.was assist

Masonic Lodge, as Mr Efuolcs was a
member of chat fraternity, A com
mittee of three gentlemen cam
with the body from Pine wood and
they remained over to attend the
funeral. One of them Mr J P Feder,
paid a most beautiful tribute to
the memory of the departed pastor.

church.
