The Sheriff of Anderson county is
as mad as a March hare with Gov
ernor Blease because the Governor
lefused to appoint a political hencbmau
of the Sheriff, whom he had
recommended, a liquor constable,
and makes a long string of threat*
as to what he will and what he will
not do. The Sheriff seemingly forgets
that insubordination is a grave
(ITense and one that no mitigating
circumstances surrounds, and is sufficient
grounds for the Governor to
remove him from office.
The clash between Gov Blease and
the State Supremo Court over the
appointment of a Judge to preside
at ihe Richland term of Court, is a
very unfortunate incident look at i?
