Editor Herald: If yuu will allow
me space in your valuable columns,
I will wiile you a few lines from the
State of Mississippi, as I am a subscriber
to the dear old Herald, which
is to most valuable paper I read.
It is now nearly two years since 1
left Horry, yet I enjoy reading the

better, than when a resident of tin
county.
The leading industry in this part
of Mississippi is working turpentine,
therefore, it is a beautiful country;
heavily timbred and quite different
from Horry. Of course
there is very little farming in thi*
part of Mississippi. If a farmer 1 as
ten or twelve acres under cultivation
he is considered an up to date
farmer.
Wages are better here than in
Horry owing, I guess, to the largi
amount of pub'ic work that is beinp

Death of Little Bonnie Louise.
In December. 1910. the death
angel called at the home of Mr and
Mrs A B Edge and took to heaven
their baby, little B)nnie Louise.
She had been a little sufferer most of
her life from asthma. She took the
fevi r about a month before she died,

Little Bonnie was one year, eight
months and twenty-one days old.
Her sweet presence will be sadiv
missed by all who knew her,
She leaves a father, mother, two
dsters, two brothers and many
friends to mourn her loss, but we
mourn not as t hcie that have no
