y Feels an Interest.
Dear Sir: \ notice from reading
my county piper from home that
Ooi D A Spivey has under
taken to build good roads for your
county b}- bonding the county for
so much and for such a length
of time that will enable the county
to get this money and build her
good roads and return the monev
when due without overtaxing the
people to do so. I have read each
of his articles in the Horry Herald
ovnl iin!nf? t-.hio hnnrl issnn find !
VI |/1 111 llf^ VU1U Vfv/xv. _
^ YUot'ce that he has several appoint"mouts
at different precincts over
the county at which places he wishes
to meet the voters and discuss this
m itfcer before them, and I hope ho
will be able to meet every tax payer
in the county and sho w to them, if
they don't already see it, how and
wherein they can get these good
roads I t..ink the county I am living
in has the best roads of any
county in the State aud the roads
were built practically on the same
bond issue that Col Spiyey puts before
the people of Horry. 1 am not
+ r? a citizen o' llorry any more, but
surely J feel an interest in the people
of the c >unty, I want to see
Horry equal to any in the State, for
it is my home county. I can safely
say that / fully bilieve that if the
coun'y had a few more men of Col
Spi ve/'t s:ze that would p.it their
shoulders to the whoilsof prosperity
that such a thing as n )t h wing g >od
roads would b) a thing of the past.
N >w, Go Spivey we at ahead and
built that splendid court house and
j til, and 1 a n of the opinion that he
will have to d u the saens by the good

roaus.
I am glad to sec vou, Mr Elitor,
talking tao stand that you h ive in
this m Ut?>r. I tru it that every taxpiycr
in the county w 11 cone ojL
on election day and say he wants
better highways.
With much sir-cess, T am yours,
