H, WOODWARD. Editor THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER I, I9IO Information Wanted. Editor Herald: Please allow me space in your paper to make a fow inquiries concerning the proposed x- bond issue for making good roads. When and how long will it take to pay those bonds? And what management will the money be under if the bonds are voted? Will the Supervisor and his Hoard have control of this, or will it be under the control of a special road commissioner? We, the people of Horry are greatly in need of better roads and think bonding the county is the only way in which we can get them, but we want to know before we cast our ballot in favor of $100,000 bonds that the work will be under the proper management and the money economically and judiciously expended. T now ask some one who is in a position to know to explain the nature of these bonds for the informa lil/ll vji uuu3c i u u;i uoulu, Ve#y respectfully, San ford, SC. Mr Editor: It is really dangerous pedestrians to pass along 7th avenue especially at night, as for it is in very bad shape and the electric light No 14, has not been burning for the past ten or fifteen nights and I bet neither the Marshal, nor May or Little nor Paul Quattlebaum was aware of it and why? Simply because the pavement is too bad foi for them to walk on. It is a pitt-y to tear up the good pavements on 5th and Gth avenues when 7th avenue is so greatly in need of the attention of the powers that be. Unless something is done, and done at once, to repair the pavement some one is liable to bo injured at any time and the town will probably have to defend an action fordamagei in which criminal{ carelessness and willful neglect will be the chief pleas of the complaint. A word t( the wise should be stllicient The pavement at Moore's residence on 7th avenue from Main to Elm streets are the worse side walks in town. What have the residents on 7th avenue done that they are so sorely t filleted with such poor apology for sidewalks?
