Conway berry has excelled all others
in this section of the country on the
northern markets and there are

Board of Trade, not only concern
ing the strawberry industry bui

Statements have been sent to i
number of delinquent subscribers
who have been receiving the papei
regularly and have neglected to pa}
up promptly, For several weeks w<
have been p ublishing a notice in the
paper to the elTect that some of then
would be discontinued unless pay

A negro named Cato McCra}
was arrested in North Carolina one
day last recently and lodged in jail
charged with obtaining property
from A 13 Elliott by false pretenses,
He had claimed to Mr Elliott thai
he was the owner of a tract of land,
which he would mortgage to him as
security for the purchase price of a
horse and the horse was delivered
to him and he made a mortgage on
a tract of land which it was afterwards
proved did not belong to him.
Since he was placed in jail his employer
has settled the indebtness
and the netrro has been released.
