On Sunday, April 24th, 1010, the
blessed Lord sent his summons, the
death angel, to the home of Mr and
Mrs J J Anderson, near Conway,
S C., and took from it its only joy
and pride, our little Dora. Sho vvas
sick but a short while. Little Dora
was a bright and loving child and
was only one year and three days
old when God saw best to take her
to live with him in heaven. She was
loved by all who knew her. All

could not stay the hand of death
but the good Lord knew best and
in his matchless love and unerring
wisdom saw fit to pluck the tender
flower and transplanted it in the
beautiful garden of eternal love. She
was laid to rest on the following
day i in the cemetery at Centenary
M E church and was funeralized at
the home on Monday morning at 10
o 'clock by the Rev Mr Goldfinch, of

Crops are generally good considering
the cool and dry weather.
Some of the young folks attended
the unveiling ceremonies of An
drew Fiether Prince's monument at
Loris recently. Among those who
attended were Mr Edward Prince
and his sister, Miss Rosella, an/! MiHerbert
Anderson and his sister,
Miss Maude.
MrS P Elliott, of Zoan, was seen
on our streets several days ago. Mr
Elliott has some warm friends here

O Hughes and Whaland
Stanley, of Loris, attended preaching
here recently.
Rev Wilson D Pridgeon held a revival
meetiug here recently and it
was a grand success. There were
six added to the church and sixteen
conversions.
Miss Mattie Mishoo has returned
home after spending some time with
hor sister, Mrs Lula Sullivan at Be
thune, and reports a grand time.
