w. H. Roberta Deac*.
Green Sea, April 18?Oo the 2nd
day of March, 1910, the summons
came and our dear father wtAs ushered
into the great beyond. He
was laid to rest on the following
day the funeral services having been
conducted by Rev S. B. Wilson in
the presence of a host of sorrowing
and sympathizing friends.
His death was the end of great
suffering, lasting about three weeks,
the scourge of pheumonia being
more thao he was able to bear.
Mr Roberts was born May 3rd, ,
1851, and was married to Miss T)e- I
lilah Floyd on the 27th of January
1874. To this union was born ten
children, seven boys and three girls
one of whom has preceded dim to
the grave.
He joined the Missionary Baptist
church in 1877 at Rehoboth church
and 1891, he moved his membership
to Hone}' Camp Baptist church and
served as a deacon until his death.
He lived a consistant Chiristian
and his heart and hands were always
open and ready to help those
who were in distress. He was a
loving husband and father.
Why should we grieve that he is
blest?
We believe he is with Christ at
rest,
He has suffered his last pain,
Let us live to see father again.
A precious one from us is gone,
A voice we loved is still,
A place made vacant in our home,
Which never can be filled.
His Loving Son,
Walterberry.
