to mourn their Ions. But our loss
is his eternal gain.
My dear brother was sick with
the mumps only a few days though
not seriously, as he wasaole to walk
ab?ut the place. About. 11 o'clock
on the 28th he was taken with u
pain while sitting at his desk which
resulted in his dea'th.
Brother George was thirty-two
years and two days old Oh! it is
hard to give you up, but God knows
all things and 11 is will must bo done.
You have crossed the chilly tide,
And are standing on that shore,
With our Savior bv your side,
He is safe forever more.
WTheu tiiis life is ended,
And wo no more shall be,
God, our only defender,
Shall biar us o'er the loa,
My trials on earth are great,
My love for Ilitn was more,
T must reach the golden gate,
And stand with him on that
bright shore.
Oh, his dear wife is loft alone
To raise their lit tie son,
Help them dear Father, to guide
them,
From all harm.
Help them to walk in the righteous
path,
Wilt thou Father hold their arm,
Lead and guide them, this I pray.
With our Savior hand and hand,
With all is glory, peace and light.
Your trials on earth are ended,
And mine have just begun,
The day you left me at my home,
Will be, long remembered and
never forgotten.
Your Loving Sister,
