last Sunday evening from the
cleasiutf of the ten leai e s as recorded
by St Luke in the xvii chapter:
"Go shew yourselves unto the priest,
And it came to pa*8, that, as they
went, they were cleansed. And
one of thorn, when he saw that h?
vias healed, turned back, and with
a loud voice glorified (J >d, And
fell down on bis face at his feet, and
giving him thanks: and he was a
Samaritan. And Jrsus answering
said, Were there not ten cleansed?

powerful by reason of its timeliness
as well as appropriatene ss and was
directed more to those who having

just been graciously blessed by the
outpouring of God's Holy Spirit to

During the progress of this meeting
the church building was crowded to
its utm 3st capacity with saint and
sinner, ard yet, not quite three
days after the close of that meeting
the seats of the synagogue high up
around the altar were conspicious
for their emptiness, white down in
' sinner's row ' were most of his
congregation. ' The Samaritan was
there," said the speaker, "but
where are the nine?" It was indeed
a misfortune to those who
missed hearing such a lino effort,
dusting with so many wholesome
and precious truths and containing
so many golden lesson of our duty
to God to give thanks and glorify
him for healing us of sin?show our
gratitudo to him for his favors.

joined the South Carolina State
Farmer?' Union at tho Mt Pisgah
Local No. 706 and paid the fee oT
$1 00 and on January 1st, 1910, I
was called on for my quarterly dues
of 92 c> nbs which I pud, but still I
have roeeived no pass book. Some
time ago 1 wrote to Mr Reid, of
Columbia, asking him about it and
his reply was to me that he had not.
received the money and that my
pass book had not been ordered.
Since theu T have called on the Sec
retary of Local 706 at Mt Pisgah
and he lias receipts signed by A.M.
Dusenbury. I would like to knowwhere
my money is and why I can't

OBITUARY.
Mrs R. L. H. Bran ton was born
February 12?h, 1841 and died February
23rd, 1910 making her age 66
years and 11 days.
Mrs Branton was married to Mr
R. L II Branton June 4 h, 1871.
She joined the Methodist church
in earlv life and continued an acceptable
member until her death.
About three years since she had a
stroke of paralysis. This was followed
by cr psy from which she
died The writer visited her often
within the last three mouths and al
ways found her apparently resigned J

She is survived by her husband who i
