DiuMt at Utile River.
The death angel visited the home
of Mrs L W Kandell on December
21) .h, 1000, and took from her her
faithful, kind and devoted husband,
Mr L (I Kandell, aged HO years. He
was one of Little River 8 most prosperous
f irmors and merchants and
was loved by all who knew him. He
seemed to be in the prime of health
until April 0th, 1009 He was a
great sufferer fr.on then until the
death angel bore his imranrial spirit
to the realms above. It was the
privilege of the wri or to be with
him a great deal during his illness
and h. lp nurse and care for him I
have never seen a more cheerful and
patient sufferer than he was. He
ax said all during his illness that he felt
^ very near and dear to Cod. A short
while before he died he told his
precious wife that the only thing he
regretted was leaving her and his
four darling little girls All that

do was done to restore him to health
but it was the will of our dear
heavenly father to take him and his
dear loved ones had to submit and
say, "thv will, Ou God! not ours be
done."
His body was laid to rest in Little
River cemetery the last day of the
^ old year, 1901). His burial scrvico
was conducted by Mr William Lor#.
A large gatheriug of sympathizing
loved ones and friends were present
to pay their last sad respects
to the memory of the departed. We
all hope to meet- him in that bright
land above where all is joy -and
